Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
Upon installing the loyalty plugin, you will be prompted to register an account and become a User of the Publisher's Portal, to use various features and benefits associated with the loyalty plugin and available via the Portal. To register an account, you will need to provide various information about yourself, which may include your name, email address, a unique password for your Portal account, your age, gender and income levels. The information regarding your age, gender and income level is collected by Relief Network on behalf of a third party service provider that aggregates such data with other demographic information for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to provide such information, you may leave such data fields blank, in which case you may not be eligible for the same benefits as made available to members that do complete the information.
If you choose not to register an account at such time, you will still be able to use the loyalty plugin, but you will not be able to use many of the features and benefits of the loyalty plugin and will not be able to use the Portal. Data Collection and Cookies
The Relief Network loyalty plugin may enable Relief Network to collect some information as part of its functionality. For example, when you submit a query to Relief Network, the Relief Network loyalty plugin sends some basic information to Relief Network, including your IP address, your search request, and some cookie data. The information sent to Relief Network by the Relief Network loyalty plugin may be logged by Relief Network. This also includes usage data correlated with the Relief Network loyalty plugin as well as any domains visited while the Relief Network loyalty plugin is enabled.
The Relief Network loyalty plugin contains functionality that enables Relief Network to redirect you to the intended location in the event that you enter a non-functioning URL. As part of this function, the Relief Network loyalty plugin sends information on the URLs you type to Relief Network for processing.
Like most websites and loyalty plugin products, Relief Network uses cookies and web log files to track your usage of the loyalty plugin and Portal, including searches that you perform with the loyalty plugin, and your use of the Portal and participation in any Programs. A cookie is a tiny data file that resides on your computer and allows Relief Network to recognize you as a User when you use the loyalty plugin or the Portal using the same computer and web browser and to provide you with personalized features. Unfortunately, if your browser settings do not allow cookies, you may not be able to use the Portal or obtain full use of the loyalty plugin. Cookies also help us understand how users use and interact with the loyalty plugin and the Portal, which allows us to continually improve our products and services and assist the Publisher with its Portal and Programs. Like the information you enter at registration, cookie and log file data is used to customize your experience and to provide you with personalized features.
One type of cookie, known as a "persistent" cookie, is set when you log in to your User account. The next time you visit the Portal, the persistent cookie will allow us to recognize you as an existing User so that you will not need to log in before using the service, or for functionality used by the loyalty plugin. In order to change your e-mail address or password, however, you will need to re-enter your password even if your computer contains your persistent cookie. Additionally, if you log out of the Portal you will need to re-enter your password the next time you visit in order to log in to your account. Another type of cookie, called a "session" cookie, is used to identify a particular visit to the Portal site. Session cookies expire after a short time or when you close your web browser.
Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when you visit the Portal, we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave the Portal. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server you use to access the Web), your computer operating system and type of web browser you are using, as well as the name of your ISP. Tracking technologies are used to gather statistical data on users and more generally to improve our services and the offering Programs on the Portal.
